Gynecologic Cancer Survivor Summer Retreat
Let Every Woman Know offers an annual summer retreat for GYN cancer survivors at the Yukon Island Center in Kachemak Bay. This retreat is designed for women who have survived a GYN cancer diagnosis/treatment and are interested in spending time with other GYN cancer survivors in a relaxed setting. The retreat is being offered free of charge to GYN cancer survivors on a first come first serve basis through Let Every Woman Know-Alaska funding.
Gynecologic Cancer Caregiver Retreat
Let Every Woman Know offers an annual caregiver retreat in Girdwood. This retreat is designed for caretakers of women diagnosed with a GYN cancer who are interested in spending time with other GYN cancer caregivers in a relaxed setting. The retreat is being offered free of charge to GYN cancer CAREGIVERS on a first come, first serve basis through Let Every Woman Know-Alaska funding.

I had the incredible opportunity to attend the Yukon Island Cancer Survivors retreat through Let Every Woman Know and want to share my experiences about the profound impact it had on my life.
The Let Every Woman Know Yukon Island retreat was one of the highlights of my year! The retreat activities, combined with the stunning Alaskan landscape every Alaskan knows and loves, created a holistic approach to healing. Engaging with fellow survivors in this picturesque setting fostered a sense of community that was both empowering and comforting. I’ve read that the ocean waves activate our parasympathetic nervous system, which slows down the brain and promotes relaxation; being near the ocean reminded me of this, and like the tides, our strength could ebb and flow but would always endure. The retreat not only provided a space for vulnerability, reflection and healing but also offered moments of joy and celebration. Watching the rainbow across the bay over the mountains with newfound friends, sharing stories, and participating in beachside walks were moments that etched themselves into my memory, symbolizing hope and resilience.
I left Yukon Island with a profound sense of gratitude for the transformative power of nature and the support of a community of survivors. I wholeheartedly recommend this retreat. It’s a testament to the strength within us and the healing embrace of community in one of the most awe-inspiring corners of the world.
